After successfully running --add-price-quotes, the newly-updated gnucash xml file is compressed when the "Compress files" preference is unchecked.

I don't know if other preferences are honored (such as "Retain log files"), but I would suspect not.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository (r23732). The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
