Description Phil Wyett 2014-01-08 04:53:09 UTC
'Extract Here' will work on first file but not a second.

Ubuntu Gnome - 14.04 dev release.

Have two '.tar.gz' files in my home folder for extraction.

Right click on one and use 'Extract Here' and all is fine. Right after I go to the second file and perform the same action of 'Extract Here', the file will not extract. If you then attempt it again, it will extract.

This also affects using right click for compression of files also.

Isn't this a gnome 3 SNAFU?
eg; open a terminal, write

file-roller &

everything ok. Then write another without closing the first file roller:

file-roller &

GNOME 3 is applying the wrong default for file roller of forbidding multiple instances which doesn't make a lick of sense for file roller, since the interface doesn't _support_ seeing both instances on a single window.
