GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 720887
gdm presents confusing technical information to the user
Last modified: 2014-01-10 23:31:22 UTC
After I enter my password and hit Enter, gdm displays a message indicating the last time I logged into my computer, something like "Last login: Sat Dec 01 12:34:56 on :0" or maybe "Last login: Sat Dec 01 12:34:56 on tty2." I don't know what :0 is; nontechnical users have no chance of understanding it.
This is a Fedoraism in pam that i believe got fixed in time for the F20 release.
