GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 72037
Galeon crashes when loading a PDF file with Acrobat Reader 4.05
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: galeon Severity: normal Version: 1.0.3 Synopsis: Galeon crashes when loading a PDF file with Acrobat Reader 4.05 Bugzilla-Product: galeon Bugzilla-Component: Mozilla interaction Description: I've configured GNOME and Galeon to use /opt/Acrobat4/bin/acroread for the application/pdf MIME type. Galeon kept using xpdf to open PDF files so I followed the instructions on the Galeon FAQ for removing the lines from /etc/pluggerrc so that Galeon would handle this MIME type. Now Galeon crashes everytime I click on a link to a PDF file, even if I change the configuration to ask me before using acroread. Odd thing is that I have this working on another workstation. That workstation has the same GNOME and Galeon config but no /etc/pluggerrc file, and it can open PDFs with the Acrobat Reader 4.05 plugin inside a Galeon window.
