Original author: Kim Boram
Original description:

After I update shotwell from r2404 to latest version It displys newly added
and changed Korean tags and name of events wrongly.

here's two photos which explains this problem.

same tags but displayed defferently.

(event)

(tag)

This happens when I chage the name of event ,tag and import new photos and
when I remove photo.db and import all photos again.

  * **Subject** changed from _latest shotwell displays korean wrongly._ to _latest shotwell displays korean incorrectly._

by saying latest version I mean latest version form svn.

r2405 has this problem but r2404 hasn't got the problem.

r2405 displays All tags and events wrong including aleady import photos but
that problem has fixed at some point

boram, can you send me a photo with a tag that's causing the problem?
(jim@yorba.org) That would help me debug it here. Thanks.

The problem seems to be with Pango being unable to properly display decomposed
Unicode forms for Korean (and possibly other languages). We're not using
composed forms within Shotwell, which Pango does fine with.
