GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 714639
activating notification bubble for a single email won't usually select the email
Last modified: 2019-04-14 11:50:50 UTC
---- Reported by chaz@yorba.org 2013-02-11 12:23:00 -0800 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 6363 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/6363 Searchable id: yorba-bug-6363 Original author: Charles Lindsay Original description: Because we've delayed the actual folder selection logic slightly after you select the folder on the sidebar, the current code for activating notification bubbles won't correctly select the conversation for single-message notification bubbles. We need a way (a bit of global state, like the folder_to_select currently?) to select the correct conversation after the folder finally gets selected. ---- Additional Comments From geary-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-04-03 17:53:00 -0700 ---- ### History #### #1 Updated by Jim Nelson 9 months ago * **Priority** changed from _Normal_ to _High_ * **Target version** set to _0.3.0_ #### #2 Updated by Jim Nelson 8 months ago * **Target version** changed from _0.3.0_ to _0.4.0_ #### #3 Updated by Jim Nelson 8 months ago * **Target version** changed from _0.4.0_ to _0.5.0_ --- Bug imported by chaz@yorba.org 2013-11-21 20:28 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 6363 at http://redmine.yorba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6363 Unknown milestone "unknown in product geary. I don't fully understand what Charles wrote... Mike, can you check if this bug still makes sense in the current code?
Yep, it is a problem still, but I'm going to won'tfix this since it's in practice not a problem: When selecting a different folder, the first message will be auto-selected anyway, and since we notify about new mail, this is usually the new one.
