To reproduce in the composer:

  * Highlight some text
  * Press the link button on the toolbar
  * Enter "mailto:jim@yorba.org" 
  * Press OK

Instead of linkifying the highlighted text, "mailto:jim@yorba.org" is inserted
right before the text, as a link.
