GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 711683
Ad blocking exception for DuckDuckGo
Last modified: 2018-08-03 20:06:51 UTC
Consider an exception for blocking ads on DuckDuckGo, as our default search engine. See https://mail.gnome.org/archives/epiphany-list/2013-November/msg00003.html
I agree we should allow DDG ads by default; they are unobtrusive. To do this generically, we could perhaps have an option in the window menu to whitelist or un-whitelist the current domain. I don't think we want to let the user write filters manually.
Duplicate of Bug 685379. Designs in Bug 755292.
