Description Allan Day 2013-11-07 10:33:16 UTC
The selection popup has a button with a link icon. When I tried it, it created a new note. I was surprised - I thought it was going to create a link.

We should also avoid having multiple windows with multiple notes overviews being on display, btw. It's weird.
Comment 2 Pierre-Yves Luyten 2013-11-07 23:24:28 UTC
I did assume the "link" is, similar to Tomboy, creating a note with selected text as title. The idea is to open the note when the link is done.

A way could be to open the note but handle multiple windows properly. Another to create a note but not open it. Well the first bit could be to really have a link from one note content to another note.

> I thought it was going to create a link

Also, something that is missing currently is automatically converting text like https://wiki.gnome.org to a proper html link. Could apply to mail as well.

But it's not a link in this case. Using a link icon is misleading.

Let's just remove this icon for now?

That would be my suggestion...
