you have found a common bug... bug 9293

the solution is found by updating to the latest gnome-core.

But first I must ask you a few questions, to help find out why this
bug is happening.

What OS are you using?

What version of your distribution (if linux)?

What version of libpng do you have?

How did you install gnome?
