Description Christian Schaarschmidt 2013-10-06 13:15:40 UTC
I had the "info is null" error in /extensionSystem.js line 83
turns out Debian does not ship StartCom Ltd. root certificate and this is causing the problem

1. please add this hint the About-page section Why can't I install extensions?
2. check if info == null in extensionSystem.js line 83 and log message.reason_phrase in case of null (this would have saved me from a lot of debugging)
Comment 1 Christian Schaarschmidt 2013-10-06 15:03:19 UTC
to be more precise, Debian does ship the certificate, but it was not activated. Anyway please add hint to check that root certificate is installed (and activated) in case of problems.
BTW I'm not talking about the certificates in the browser, it looks as if extensionSystem.js is not executed in the browser context...

Is this still issue?
e.o.g. currently using Gandi certificate
