Description Magdalen Berns (irc magpie) 2013-09-29 09:39:14 UTC
It seems to me that most of the (up to date) documentation discourages the use of /opt/gnome as the prefix in defaults.jhbuilrc because it means adding the extra step of making the directory writeable.

The fact there are two different defaults can confused people. I propose changing the defaults.jhbuildrc and then updating the documentation on https://developer.gnome.org/jhbuild/unstable/getting-started.html.en so it is easier to follow.

The example needs to be updated but I think I will make a fresh patch to include on Bug 709019 for that one

Thanks

Noticed I missed out the ~/

I am wondering whether this is a controversial suggestion. Would changing this cause problems for a lot of people?
