Description Stefano Facchini 2013-09-04 20:12:56 UTC
I know that middle-click is used for this, but in the Bookmark window bookmarks are listed in a treeview and the middle-click action is not the natural one in this context.

I can make a patch if it the change will be accepted.

Why should it default to opening in a new tab? This has all sorts of nasty side effects, for instance that because of GtkNotebook deficiencies, the new tab can appear offscreen. Also, in Web, tabs have always been considered optional and not obligatory. (Loads of end-users don't know or care about tabs at all.)

This window is gone, bye! You can middle-click or control-click on the bookmark row in the popover to get a new tab now.
