Description Sebastian Keller 2013-08-31 03:03:22 UTC
1. Have at least two windows open, one of them being nautilus
2. Middle click some empty space in the nautilus header bar
3. Start typing something
4. Switch back to the nautilus window using alt-tab

-> The text shows up in the nautilus window. The nautilus window should have lost focus when it was lowered, which is what happens to non-CSD windows.

There is no good way for clients to give up focus on their own, under X. To cite the ICCCM:

Convention

Clients should not give up the input focus of their own volition. They should ignore input that they receive instead.

We'll need some ewmh extension for 'lower this window and focus the top of the stack'

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

This will be fixed by the system implemented for bug 729782, since we'll do the lowering server-side.
