GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 705935
Make it possible to connect to alternate connections
Last modified: 2013-08-16 15:33:57 UTC
The Network settings panel only allows to configure connections, not to activate them. It is now a problem as gnome-shell no longer permits choosing between different wired connections (bug 705104). As written in bug 705104 comment 2, "System Settings should allow you connect to alternate Wired configurations".
Selecting a wired "profile" from the panel should activate it. Notice the check mark in the mockups (see the image at the bottom): https://raw.github.com/gnome-design-team/gnome-mockups/master/system-settings/network/aday/png/network.png
Created attachment 251854 [details] [review] network: activate wired profiles when clicked This was always the intention of the design; we just didn't get around to it. It is becoming more important now that the shell system status does not show wired profiles anymore.
Thanks; I just tested it and it works fine here.
