PCManFM dialog for setting custom binary

Let say I have unknown file type and I have custom application to open that file type installed locally (in $HOME or other non-standard directory).

Howto reproduce:
- right-click on file
- select 'Open With'
- select 'Other Application...'

What I would expect:
Option to specify arbitrary path to executable, ideally with command-line parameters and symbol which would be replaced with single or multiple file names (eg. %f, %F). Alternatively some hint (quick help) how to add custom application to list of "Other Applications". (Good example is PCManFM file manager - in attachment)

What I see instead:
Application isn't in recommended, related nor other applications list, 'Find applications online' fails (as it should) and no option to set correct binary.

Additional info:
If I actually use PCManFM to define custom application, then it appears also in Nautilus so there is probably easy way how to do this, but there is no clue in Nautilus dialog, file properties nor help ("Open files with other applications").
