The attached patch (created using git diff -u) adds 2 extra options to the configure script:
--with-sqlite3-static Add support for sqlite3 output, using the libsqlite3.a static archive [experimental]
--sqlite3-path path   Use the SQLite install available under 'path'

I have tested this on Linux, but don't have access to other platforms for testing.

This bug was previously marked ASSIGNED, which means it should be fixed in
doxygen version 1.8.5. Please verify if this is indeed the case. Reopen the
bug if you think it is not fixed and please include any additional information
that you think can be relevant.
