GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 703039
[MM 0.8] Use systemd on-hardware activation
Last modified: 2014-10-14 16:27:23 UTC
Systemd allows to start services on demand when specific hardware (as tagged in udev) is found. We can use this to have ModemManager running only when ID_MM_CANDIDATE tagged devices are found in the system.
Yeah, it would start if MM_CANDIDATE devices are found, and then quit after a short period of time if no modems were actually detected.
Moving bugreport to the new ModemManager bugzilla in fd.o; summarized the issue there as well. Please subscribe to the new bugreport to get new updates. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85009 Closing this report as NOTGNOME.
