GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 702132
Application Development Manual - Gstreamer API links to wrong version
Last modified: 2016-06-01 09:54:27 UTC
In the GStreamer Application Development Manual (1.x) all Gstreamer API links are to http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/stable. The stable API links to v0.10. Ex. http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/manual/html/section-bin-create.html has a link to GstBin at: http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/stable/gstreamer/html/GstBin.html All links should be consistent with their respective versions. Ex. http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/manual/html/section-bin-create.html http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/gstreamer/html/GstBin.html http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/1.0/manual/html/section-bin-create.html http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/1.0/gstreamer/html/GstBin.html Thanks.
Thanks for the bug report. I see the issue and I agree that's how it should be in an ideal world. However, in order to do that we'd have to generate the entities file from configure and/or build the docs twice, which seems a bit over the top (already takes way too long to build them). Since the stable/ links no longer point to 0.10 but now point to the latest 1.x release, let's just close this.
