Description Joanmarie Diggs (IRC: joanie) 2013-06-07 13:46:15 UTC
Lack of caret navigation in Evince prevents users who are blind from selecting portions of a document. This should be fixed by bug 638905. However, Evince's AtkText implementation, which includes selection support, fails to emit the expected signals when text is selected via the mouse, and it fails to report the selected text when queried.

(Making this a depends on bug 638905 so that we can examine and fix all selection-related bugs in the AtkText implementation at once.)

Looks like new bugs were opened for this bug, namely bug 704335 and bug 704396. Both of those new bugs are fixed and as a result, this bug is as well. Marking as a dup of the first.
