Inefficient grid spacing (Files 3.8)

Summary:
Nautilus long that maintains an arbitrary shape to handle various sizes of the icons (33%, 50%, 66%, 100%, 150%, 200% and 400%). I do not know if this is because it is a theory or a practical model of usability, but the truth is it does not allow any customization.

However, from the perspective of the simplicity of Files / Nautilus doubt that can be integrated customization system icon size (like Finder or Windows Explorer), so I suggest as an improvement to optimize the grid size to use any icon size. For example, large monitors, I use the icon view size to 150% (leaving only the file name), but the space between icons is very disproportionate and inefficient.

Suggest that the size between icons is the most efficient in terms of the percentage of zoom, but this is constant (I mention names different sizes of files that can be purchased).

* An example of optimized space a similiar icon size, is the applications view of GNOME Shell.
** I am no expert in design or usability, but it would be good from those who know the subject, debate the default sizes that brings Files / Nautilus, as they do not know what the situation, from the perspective of the usability could be used icon size to 400%.

To replicate:

1. Open Files / Nautilus
2. Expand display options (icon view) and zoom (150%)
3. See grid spacing between icons

Thanks for the bug report. Yes, this spacing is wrong. This has been on the roadmap, but it proved to be quite a challenge. You can read more about that on bug 552093. Please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
