Description Matteo Settenvini 2013-05-02 21:23:50 UTC
Right now, in Epiphany Webkit2 hitting Ctrl+I starts a new window for browsing in private mode.

This is very annoying when you are trying to use textarea editors to insert posts / comments around the web, as Ctrl+I is usually bound to toggle the use of an italics font.

A concrete example is with Google Documents, where the only way I found to get italics is by using the mouse.

Firefox binds Ctrl+Shift+P to Private Mode by default, which is a saner alternative. Please choose this or some other shortcut for private browsing.
