GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698661
Default size too small for four columns of icons
Last modified: 2013-06-08 17:50:16 UTC
After fixing Bug #696213, nautilus's default size (800x550) is no longer large enough to display four columns of icons. Instead, it now displays three columns, with a lot of blank space off to the right. This is a poor initial experience. 830x550 looks good as a default width. When I set my screen resolution to 800x600, nautilus maximized itself automatically, so I think it's safe to increase.

Oops, the screenshot is mostly transparent... I've seen that before when using gnome-screenshot. But the screenshot still displays the gist of the situation.

Hi Cosimo, will this go into 3.8.2? Thanks.
