GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 694706
Strings start with a lowercase letter
Last modified: 2018-09-21 16:35:17 UTC
Why all warning/error strings start with a lowercase letter? For example: #: ../libgnome-desktop/gnome-rr.c:472 #, c-format msgid "unhandled X error while getting the range of screen sizes" msgstr "" #: ../libgnome-desktop/gnome-rr.c:478 #, c-format msgid "could not get the range of screen sizes" msgstr "" Are they part of other sentences? If they are standalone sentences, they should start with an uppercase letter and end with a punctuation.
They probably shouldn't be translated actually.
These two strings no longer exist. Not a lot of these are left.
Banking on removing all those strings when gnome-rr is removed from gnome-desktop. See bug 777538.
