The white icon grid area is bounded by a 1px border. Since this runs alongside the edge of the window, you end up with a thicker than necessary 2px line. This looks too heavy.

This bug could potentially be fixed through bug 676656 - adding a line to the bottom of the toolbar could make the border around the white grid area unnecessary.

I've attached a screenshot alongside a modified version showing how it should look.

This was now fixed in git master together with bug 676656.
