Description Jens Georg 2012-11-22 09:24:38 UTC
UPnP allows us to add something called a "Presentation page" for the device which is announced alongside the other properties of the device.

This can be anything from a simple static web page to a status page to a full-blown configuration tool which could be useful for embedded devices where you don't want to SSH into to change some settings.

It should be possible to disable/enable the presentation page in the configuration.

Some ideas:
 - Global status
   - currently activate plug-ins
   - connected clients
   - ...
 - Per plug-in status
   - Watched directories (for MediaExport)
   - object statistics (How many images, videos etc.)

 - Configuration
   - Global configuration
   - Per plug-in configuration
   - Disable/enable transcoders etc.

Some of these things need a common way to query the information from the plug-ins which currently doesn't exist in Rygel.

And editing of ACLs once we get there. Also a general authentication scheme might be necessary once this allows fiddling with the internals.
