Somebody to review this patch? ;)
Comment 3 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2013-01-20 12:22:31 UTC
yeah... I'm not sure it is correct...
Comment 4 Paolo Borelli 2013-01-20 14:31:29 UTC
Yeah, I didn't apply it because I am not convinced: I think "editor" is too generic, and notepad etc are name of other text editor programs and I do not think that is something we want to use use the keywords for.
Comment 5 Daniel Mustieles 2013-01-20 15:44:23 UTC
Any ideas/suggestions about it? It would be great to fix it, to try to close the GNOME Goal ;)

Thanks!

The question to keep in mind here is:

Do I want gedit to appear among the matches when the user searches for XYZ ?

I think 'editor' is perfectly fine with that criterion. Don't you agree ?
Comment 7 Daniel Mustieles 2013-01-20 16:37:05 UTC
For me, "text editor" are the correct keywords for this app. If maintainers want to add more keywords it's ok for me; if not, we can foget about it and just use the Comment and Description fileds as keywords for GNOME Shell.

Yes. On the other hand I also expect to list pitivi, open office, etc so I am not sure it is a very useful keyword.

That said I added it and pushed.
