GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 687307
gnome-clocks should install a highcontrast app icon
Last modified: 2013-01-20 18:04:16 UTC
We are aiming to have an highcontrast app icon for all apps in 3.8. See https://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/HighContrastAppIcons
Created attachment 230092 [details] A high-contrast clock icon (with three hands).
Created attachment 230231 [details] A simple clock icon with two hands
Hi Marilena! Thanks for the icon. As far as I understand, High Contrast icons are not exactly the same as symbolic icons... Since they are shown at bigger sizes, so I would have expected something slightly more detailed and recognizable. For instance the minutes hand should maybe be thinner than the hours one. Anyway I will delegate decision to the design team. If lapo, jimmac, andreasn etc give ok with the icon I will be happy to commit it.

these were created using the create-highcontrast tool in gnome-themes-standard. We should use these.
I still think what I said in comment #3 : I think the icon is a tad too simple and could use some refinements. That said if the general consensus is that this should go in as is, feel free to push them
Ok, pushed these icons for now - we can always improve them.
