GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 687282
[Fallback mode] Invisible sound-applet tray icon
Last modified: 2012-11-12 09:24:36 UTC
I've just updated my system to Gnome 3.6.1 but in fallback mode the sound-applet icon is invisible, in fact if you click in some magic poi the volume slider appear, here a screenshot
Created attachment 227739 [details] magic spot makes slider appear
Does it happen with any of the other tray icons? The Bluetooth one for example?
no bluetooth works (coloured icon appear)
Created attachment 227743 [details] distant icons here's an image when plugging my bluetooth adapter
Also my battery icon disappear random, in fact I get notification of low battery from an invisible icon.
EDIT: bluetooth icon is invisible too, I just confused with blueman.
If I set audio to 0 some gray icon appear... I wonder why all that space between icons...
Created attachment 227984 [details] sign of an icon...
I'll reassign this to gnome-panel. The bug is probably in either GTK+ or gnome-panel, as the code to handle status icons didn't change in either gnome-bluetooth or gnome-control-center.
This problem caused by a commit in gnome-themes-standard: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-themes-standard/commit/?id=6e641cf46cc70ce770482b3fc331b1fa3cd7af2b Reverting it solves the problem. I reported this problem to gnome-themes-standard also: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687314
btw I temporanely solved the problem by using Boomerang Deux theme http://ghogaru.deviantart.com/art/Boomerang-GTK3-189180645
