Picture of the GUI of gtranslator while a file is opened

I'm using the Gnobuntu/Ubuntu 12.10 version. There I'm trying to open several files, but it only shows the statistics on the bottom (progress of translation, e.g.: number of translated strings and so on)

The rest of the screen is white as before. (look at attachment)

That happened with any .po file I tried to use.

I think this might be related to a bug in gdl. Please try to remove the ~/.config/gtranslator/layout.xml

I delete the file, but the same result as before... :/
Comment 3 Piotr Sokół 2012-10-31 10:02:02 UTC
I noticed this with GNOME 3.6 release. I had the same on virtual machines with alpha and beta versions of Ubuntu 12.10 and now I have it on my working machine.

I compiled tag 2.90.8 - this version works well with GNOME 3.4.1 - but the bug is still present.

When a PO file is opened, content of layout.xml file is replaced with this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<dock-layout><layout name="__default__"><dock name="__dock_1" floating="no" width="-1" height="-1" floatx="0" floaty="0" skip-taskbar="yes"><paned orientation="vertical" locked="no" iconified="no" closed="no" position="0"/></dock></layout></dock-layout>

And that's the reason I think. Of course there is no chance to get it work with simply deleting layout.xml, because it's created after every program use. Also I tried to replace file's content and make it read-only - it's pointless.

This bug makes gtranslator completely useless! Please fix it.

I also tried to delete the file, with no success.
