./configure  fails, with the last lines like these:

checking for time... yes
checking for gmtime... yes
checking for perl... perl
Enabling debugger
checking for libxml libraries >= 2.4.10... 2.4.12 found
./configure: test: argument expected

This Ultra-80, gcc version 3.0, Solaris 7.

Version 1.0.8 configures and compiles fine.

Expected to be fixed in the CVS version, should be fixed in the
next release,
