GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 684549
Automatic maximization is uncalled for (and annoying)
Last modified: 2012-09-21 12:27:32 UTC
Dear GNOME Shell: you do not need to maximize a window just because it was 70% or more maximized last time the application was running (Ray or Matthias told me that this is the metric you use). If I wanted the window to be maximized, I'd maximize it myself and you or the app would remember it the next time the apps starts. Sounds good to you? Thanks! This started sometime in the 3.5 cycle IIRC - still happening with gnome-shell-3.5.92-1.fc18.x86_64
