Description Prathibha 2012-09-20 12:22:31 UTC
If we switch to some other application while typing into libreoffice writer document and return back the characters are not read out.

It continues reading immediately after the enter key is pressed.

And what version of LibreOffice Writer? There has been some discussion on the Orca list and also in bug 685098 that LibreOffice 3.6 has some accessibility bugs not present in LibreOffice 3.5.
Comment 4 Prathibha 2012-10-05 09:37:03 UTC
Libreoffice 3.5
Comment 5 André Klapper 2012-10-05 14:51:55 UTC
Prathibha: Please try LibreOffice 3.6 and report back.
Comment 6 Miria Grunick 2012-10-06 15:06:54 UTC
I was able to reproduce this issue and verify that it was an issue with Writer not generating a window.activate event. I opened the following bug with LibreOffice: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55695
Comment 7 Joanmarie Diggs (IRC: joanie) 2012-10-15 14:06:25 UTC
This will need to be fixed in LibreOffice.
