Description marcianitos 2012-08-14 08:18:03 UTC
When I click in:

Filters - Edge detect - Difference of Gaussians

appears a windows to set the parameters but, when I click 'OK' Gimp shows a transparent layer instead of the image with the filter applied.

This filter worked properly in Gimp 2.6

Has bug #557380 popped up again?
Comment 2 marcianitos 2012-08-14 17:07:20 UTC
Yes.

With 'invert' checked or unchecked, we've got same results: transparent layer.

if image has no alpha channel: seems to work correctly

if image has alpha channel: I also get a fully transparent image (unerasing reveals the original image)

the respective GEGL operation works, so I'm not sure if this is still worth fixing

GIMP version: 2.8.2 (windows)
