GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 681571
default applications -> Photos -> EOG Doesn't work for png's
Last modified: 2012-08-10 16:41:56 UTC
Title says it all. On FC17, I want to open images in EOG, but images open in shotwell if they are png's! It works properly if they are .jpg I haven't looked into this for other formats. This is very annoying. Hope this is fixed soon, It sounds like it's an easy one (I hope). If you need more info let me know. Thank you! James
Shotwell is not part of GNOME so you may want to report this to your distribution's bugtracker instead?
Oh sorry, I didn't think it was a bug related to shotwell, rather that nautilus or whatever gnome xdg-open type tool (which the gnome default applications sets) was opening the wrong thing when running a .png type. So ATM I think this is core gnome, but I could be mistaken.
Default apps can be defined and changed by the distribution. It's not a bug of shotwell either. It's a decision of your distro. :)
I guess it's bug #674084 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 674084 ***
Thanks! Sebastien. Sorry for the dupe.
