GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 678887
power off is next to system settings
Last modified: 2012-06-29 09:22:57 UTC
Power Off is now immediately next to System Settings in the menu. I think this isn't ideal. They are entirely unrelated and a slip isn't a harmful effect but is frustrating. It also causes a little stress when selecting the item.
Sure, feel free to update https://live.gnome.org/GnomeOS/Design/Whiteboards/SystemStopRestart#Design_Updates :-)

The motivation for that was to make Power Off less prominent, and there seemed to be a conceptual relationship between that item and System Settings. I take the point about stress though, so no objections here.

Created attachment 217500 [details] [review] userMenu: Move "Power off" item to the bottom The current position below "System Settings" is problematic - the items are unrelated, and misclicks will result in a scary system modal dialog that has to be cancelled. Move items around a bit to avoid this problem. Thanks for the quick update!
Review of attachment 217500 [details] [review]: Looks good.
