Description cidthecoatrack 2012-05-26 20:03:57 UTC
When watching a video in banshee, watching fullscreen does not disable the screensaver. I understand earlier versions of Banshee did disable the screensaver during fullscreen playback. Why did this go away?
Comment 1 André Klapper 2012-05-27 14:51:35 UTC
Which distribution and version is this about?
Comment 2 Bertrand Lorentz 2012-05-30 18:32:01 UTC
Thank you for your bug report.

If this is happening with GNOME 3, then it is a duplicate of bug #646499.
Comment 3 cidthecoatrack 2012-05-31 21:56:20 UTC
My distribution is Xubuntu 12.04, so it does not use GNOME 3, but Xfce 4.

Thanks

An additional note: after running Banshee in the terminal for a different bug, I noticed Banshee does alert that it is inhibiting screen savers during fullscreen playback - so the program THINKS it's working, even though it must be having some sort of compatibility issue with xfce 4.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2020-03-17 09:26:13 UTC
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
