Description cherub.rockin 2012-05-17 09:14:30 UTC
Currently with Gstreamer, within any Media player, connecting to a stream, it doesnt display the meta-data, im currently using phonov-gstreamer, phonon-mplayer/vlc work perfectly. On KDE 4.8, also, displays in kmix correctly

created a video for ease.

What stream exactly? What meta data are you not seeing?

Why do you think this is an issue with GStreamer itself and not the phonon-gstreamer backend?

look @ the progress bar, displays fine in kmix/not amarok, all other backends work fine.
Comment 5 Tim-Philipp Müller 2012-05-17 09:53:23 UTC
Thanks, but unfortunately that's not really useful for us or provide much to go on.

We need at least a stream URI, so I can test this myself and look what kind of stream it is etc.

Could you please file a bug against Amarok instead? They will then figure out in which part of the stack the problem is and raise a bug with the right component.
