new gnumeric
draw an ellipse
add the text "Hello World"
note that "hello World" is nicely centred in the ellipse.
move the ellipse to a different location

Note that the text is no longer centred. In fact the top left of the text is in the centre now!

Resizing the ellipse has the same effect. Quite weird.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
