GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 674149
names for a range cannot be deleted
Last modified: 2012-04-15 22:22:07 UTC
Action: create a name for a range by selecting range and typing the name into the name field open >insert >name window Expected Result: Find a button to delete the name. Actual Result: No button to delete the name.
Which exact version of Gnumeric are you using? I am attaching q screen shot witht he button to delete the name "testname" circled.
Created attachment 212103 [details] screen shot this screen shot shows the button to delete the name. It is in the same column as the buttons to add names (or to indicate that a name cannot be deleted).
I notice: you are talking about >insert->name as the name indicates, you would use this to insert names. If you want to add or delete or modify names you should be using Edit->Modify->Names
Sorry for the unnecessary work, You are completely right. I thought it was exactly like in Excel2000, where deleting happens in the place I noted.
