Action:

create a name for a range by selecting range and typing the name into the name field

open >insert >name window


Expected Result:

Find a button to delete the name.

Actual Result:

No button to delete the name.

Which exact version of Gnumeric are you using? I am attaching q screen shot witht he button to delete the name "testname" circled.

this screen shot shows the button to delete the name. It is in the same column as the buttons to add names (or to indicate that a name cannot be deleted).

I notice: you are talking about >insert->name as the name indicates, you would use this to insert names. If you want to add or delete or modify names you should be using Edit->Modify->Names

Sorry for the unnecessary work, You are completely right. I thought it was exactly like in Excel2000, where deleting happens in the place I noted.
