Description Sander 2012-04-06 13:14:57 UTC
Please excuse me if this bug has been filed before, I searched for it but didn't find something similar.

When a shell component is open, so when you are in the overview mode, or when you expanded the calendar or user menu of Gnome-Shell, the printscreen button doesn't react any more.

The printscreen does work when an app is focused. And it's also possible to take a printscreen of the shell by using a delay.

This is experienced on Arch, via the testing repo: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/testing/i686/gnome-shell/
And I haven't changed the keybindings. So when pressing the printscreen button, gnome-screenshot is still the default app to handle it.
