There is string 
drag a file icon into the window from the <app>File Manager</app>. The new file will open in a new window (provided the file is of a file type supported by Document Viewer).

The "Document Viewer" should be in <app> tags.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
