GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 671359
Delete Note Disabled In Main Panel
Last modified: 2012-11-30 19:03:25 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a note, but don't open it in the main search panel. 2. Right click on the note to display the context menu. 3. The context menu will display "Open" and "Delete", but delete will be disabled. You can delete notes by following the same process, except instead of right clicking, hitting delete or selecting "Edit>Delete" will also work and be enabled. I find it strange that the "Delete" menu item in the context menu would be disabled.
Update: AlexT "I can look into that one"
Alex, I thought I had worked on this issue, but I hadn't. The issue I did work on is in another bug [1] and is very similar to this. [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=647462
After some investigation it looks like this is a duplicate of bug 647462 in a sense that it's a direct consequence of the only patch committed there (see comment 16 for that bug), which caused a regression, but looks like wasn't reverted. The code introduced by the patch is there and symptoms are exactly as described in bug 653420, which was caused by that patch and was closed as a duplicate by Jared back then. Closing this one as duplicate as well and will continue working within bug 647462. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 647462 ***
