GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 669782
Custom format of date in top panel
Last modified: 2018-09-21 16:31:44 UTC
Created attachment 207221 [details] Patches to add custom date format support to clock I miss the possibility to tweak the clock and I think that it should have the interface for customizing date format. Attaching a possible patch for this, please review. Since I dont have my own computer at hand, I've made it without branching repository, just edited it live. I hope it will not make any difficulties.
And it also includes separate weekday handling, described at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669778
We used to have that option, but it was removed later[0]. I don't think we want to re-introduce it now ... [0] http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-shell/commit?id=24f1e87813cf516
Yeah, see bug 633200 for the entire discussion...
But bug 633200 was about removing capplet specifically, why was custom format support dropped and not moved? Isn't it regression?
This code now lives in gnome-desktop, see comment in bug 669778.
