GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 669389
[PATCH] Don't ignore any errors resizing btrfs on Linux >= 3.2
Last modified: 2012-02-22 00:57:56 UTC
Hi Curtis, I hope it is not too late to include this 2 patch set before the next release of GParted in mid February. It would be nice to make this available for inclusion in the next round of distribution releases this Spring which will have Linux kernel 3.2 or higher. From the 2nd commit message: Btrfs file system can be successfully resized to the same size without failing on Linux 3.2 or higher. Linux 3.2-rc4 includes commit: 35bae54a255fbf3eab747b842d300d59f6e1abb4 Btrfs: Don't error on resizing FS to same size Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for these updates. I will review these and should be able to include these before the February release. Right now I am working with Rogier to nail down some help manual wording. Once that is decided then I will make the announcement to the translators that GParted will be released the following week. This should permit sufficient time for the translators to update the new text added to GParted and the help manual.
The patches included in comment #1 have been committed to the Gnome git repository for inclusion in the next release of GParted.
