Description Florian Neukirchen 2012-01-26 19:57:56 UTC
Everytime I log in, I have to click away the notification about my external hard drive. Please don't show notifications of drives that are already attached during login.

I think this was discussed when support for removable devices was added, but I don't remember the arguments, and I can't find the relevant bug report now.

Similar issue - http://clockwerx.blogspot.com.au/2012/06/why-is-there-no-apparent-way-to-close.html

It's annoying that the notification happens.
It's worse that the actions presented by the notification are limited, and the notification seems to be very persistent.
Comment 3 Daniel O 2012-06-17 10:34:16 UTC
Re lack of timeout / persistent behaviour, Bug #665761 is vaguely similar.
Comment 4 Allan Day 2013-03-02 13:08:18 UTC
I'm pretty sure that we had a different bug for this and that it got fixed. Please let us know if the bug is still occuring in GNOME 3.6.x (or, even better, 3.7.x).
