Description Kerrick Staley 2012-01-14 18:58:33 UTC
Using gnome-control-center to configure a dual-display setup (two monitors showing different parts of the desktop) has no effect. The monitors stay mirrored, just as they are when I first log in.

Using
xrandr --fb 3840x1080 --output DVI-I-1 --pos 0x0 --output LVDS-1 --pos 1920x0
does work.

Another computer of mine works fine; it has the same Linux setup. The main difference is that it uses the Intel driver instead of Nouveau, but there could be other differences.

FYI, I have no idea if this bug still exists. It was probably a problem further down the stack. I haven't had many problems with monitor configuration lately.

Let's close it for now then.
