GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 667645
Empathy toolbar is empty
Last modified: 2012-02-06 09:36:31 UTC
Originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/889609 Just upgraded to Oneiric, and am trying to use Empathy instead of Pidgin, however it presents several issues. One is that there is a plainly visible toolbar area, which contains no items. The toolbar should probably just be hidden, as there is no need for it. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 The toolbar in the contacts list window. There is a toolbar area, and there is nothing in it
Could you attach a screenshot (that does not show any confidential data)? With which exact version of Empathy did you test this?
we want that we should not hold the ctrl key to do so.
Huh? How is your last comment related to my questions in comment 1?
sorry sorry my mistake forget my comment 2
Created attachment 205015 [details] screenshot see i have mentioned in the screenshot.. we want to add these option(define below) which are in the top panel as well as in this place.as a feature..what you say. these options like "chat , edit , view , room , help".
Empathy toolbar is not empty, Empathy just does not have a toolbar. The options that you list are all available in the menubar. I still don't understand what you actually ask for in this bug report. Duplicating all the functionality (all menu items) by adding a toolbar? If so that is a WONTFIX. => NEEDINFO status.
(In reply to comment #5) > Created an attachment (id=205015) [details] > screenshot > > see i have mentioned in the screenshot In this screenshot you have marked the window title bar. I don't understand where the "toolbar" is that you see and that is "empty".
I don't understand this bug either. Closing for now.
Andre and Guillaume, it is the [Available ][v] dropdown that does not appear for me in the toolbar. There is just an empty black background where a toolbar should be, and nothing in it which I can see or click.
Any chance you could test with a GNOME desktop? I suspect this could be because of Unity or Ubuntu's top menubar hack.
NEEDINFO as per last comment.
It seems to work fine in current Ubuntu 12.04 build, under Unity even. When I filed the original bug, it was against Ubuntu 11.10, which I don't have readily available to check with.
if it working fine than this bug was may be in 11.10 with empathy 3.2xxx so that may be need SRU
