GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 666520
show the user status in the chat button
Last modified: 2013-04-30 15:48:56 UTC
Created attachment 203876 [details] message buttons mockup The contact header contains three buttons - mail, chat and call. The chat button should use the symbolic user status icon, such as user-available-symbolic, user-away-symbolic, user-busy-symbolic. Available and busy should use the standard black (or dark grey). The other status icons should be fully opaque and should be slightly lighter - aluminium 5, as it is sometimes called (hex: 555753). A mockup is attached.
I pushed a change to use non-symbolic presence icons everywhere else and symbolic ones in the button. However, the non-availible/busy colors are not quite right, because the icons themselves are partially transparent, so it the result (with the standard black color, which i'm using atm) is lighter than aluminium 5. Its kinda hard to get that color though, as it depends on the alpha in the current icons and the background...
The Call button is hidden when not available but the Email one is dimmed instead. Wouldn't it be better to make this consistent?
Felipe: We don't do that anymore, now call is always visible.
We don't have a chat button any more.
