Description pkkj 2011-12-08 20:38:30 UTC
GNU Cash crash when exit in Windows 7 64 bit.

A pop-up dialog appears:
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way, and then the program stops working.

If choose view problem detail, the fault module name is libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll. ( A dll file from Mingw).

Possible result:

The system installs the newest Mingw in other directory and that directory is in the PATH variable.

If the Mingw path is removed from PATH, everything is ok, nothing happens.

If the Mingw path is included in PATH, GNU Cash crash when exit.

Still a problem in more recent - 2.4.11 is recent - versions?

Please reset Status to unconfirmed, when you answer.
Comment 2 John Ralls 2012-09-24 00:30:06 UTC
That's going to be a problem no matter what version of Gnucash. Don't put your MinGW or MSys (or Cygwin, or any other MinGW application, for that matter) installations on the system or user path.
Comment 3 John Ralls 2017-09-24 22:19:39 UTC
Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
Comment 4 Frank H. Ellenberger 2017-10-04 19:02:58 UTC
Only assigning to default.
